Thanks to everyone who joined in on the dance party and good times at the Tampa Am After-Party at The Bricks. We also had the Damn Am of the Year Awards. Check out a classic list of party photos and all the banter here: Tampa Am 2011 After-Party and Damn Am of the Year Awards
Sunday at Tampa Am was a crazy day for our staff. From them running the Shop and the largest crowd of the weekend to us putting the finishing touches on the live broadcast production, Sunday is a very hectic day, but also the most fun and the best skating. Here are a few skate photos, the list of awards we gave out, and some photos from the end of the day: Tampa Am 2011 Sunday Awards and Credits.

I just sifted through a ton of video in my phone from Tampa Am weekend and edited it down to this few minutes using iMovie. A little bit of skating, a little bit of partying, a little bit of behind the scenes, and a lot of hard work with late nights and early mornings make up my weekend at Tampa Am. I do a few different jobs from taking photos, manging our digital content, making sure our software and site don’t fold under all that traffic, and managing the judging and scoring, plus a bunch of little things in between. Thanks to everyone who comes to be a part of what we love doing every year.

I still can’t believe you can film, edit, and produce a video like this on a cell phone these days. This is four minutes of behind the scenes and random chill/party footage at Tampa Am 2010 as seen through my phone.
My friend Dustin Blauvelt is in town for a skateboard shindig this weekend.

I do registration for Damn Am and Tampa Am every year, two top am contests. If you’re still an “unknown,” you have to send video footage to possibly get a spot. There has been a crazy increase in random requests this year like this one right here. Kid claims he’s going to win and get sponsored.
While we were leaving the contest last night, some kids stopped Schaefer in the parking lot and asked for an autograph. They’re claiming they’re going to grow up and be in Tampa Am one day. We’ll see, kids.
